In the far reaches of the Seventh Universe, Ki is the measure of all things. Warriors who master this vital energy can fly, unleash city-sized explosions, and survive in the vacuum of space. Every few years, the Gods of the Universe organize the Grand Celestial Tournament: a competition among the strongest warriors from all universes, whose outcome determines which universes are worthy of continued existence. Defeat means not just the fighter's death, but the extinction of their entire universe. In this context, an earthling warrior, a surviving Saiyan, a wise Namekian, and a dangerous android must decide whether they are rivals or allies against a threat that transcends any tournament.
